Job Summary

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, one of South County's largest independent, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation nonprofit senior living communities, seeks compassionate and experienced Director of Quality to join our growing team.At Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, our mission is simple: we create communities that promote the dignity of human life and reflect the spirit of Jesus Christ. We proudly provide the best possible physical, social, and spiritual care for our older adult residents...but we need your help.The purpose of this position is to be the Director of Quality for the entire ministry. This position is responsible for teaching and training staff in the various ways quality affects the services provided by CRSS and report the progress of quality initiatives to Board Members, Catholic Charities Ministry, and CEO of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services as necessary. In addition, this person oversees the Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops methods for collecting, analyzing and reporting quality projects to the Board of Directors to keep them informed of quality progress throughout the organization.

  • Work with Board Quality Committee and report quality progress/status to the Quality Committee

  • Provides leadership, information and guidance to managers and other staff members of the organization to assist them in successfully managing quality programs and services.

  • Provides on-going training to staff regarding quality processes and procedures and measurement of outcomes.

  • Chairs quarterly quality meetings and coordinates agenda and other aspects of the board quality committee.

  • Encourage employees to actively participate in quality studies and help them to think, feel and make quality a routine part of what they do on a daily basis.

  • Works with Catholic Charities on outcomes presentations for COA & attends COA meetings on a regular basis.

  • Travels around the agency to teach, evaluate, and helps employees with programs, services, and facility quality programs.

  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.

  • Oversees training and education of the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree required.

  • Minimum two years' experience working as Quality Manager or manager who has participated extensively in Quality Projects.

  • Training in subjects that include quality processes or process improvement methods.

  • Proactively shares learned knowledge and skills to enhance quality outcomes for all aspects of the CRSS agency.

  • Excellent written, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills

Skills and Attitude Required for Success

  • Ability to follow-up with requests for assistance made by staff or Board of Directors in a timely manner and provides a response as quickly as possible.

  • Ability to work in a flexible manner and relate well to staff at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to meet deadlines related to position paperwork a must.

  • Ability to collect and analyze data, and develop a quality product, and teach staff to do the same.

  • Creative and able to think outside the box.

Relationship Requirements

  • Will interact with interdisciplinary team members within the agency on a regular basis.

  • Will work with managers, supervisors, Board of Directors, Quality Committee, and Catholic Charities representatives as necessary.

  • Will work in accord with the Cardinal Ritter Senior Services Mission Statement: "Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Mission of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is to be a recognized provider of first choice in providing an integrated continuum of quality housing, residential, healthcare and supportive services for senior adults throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis."

  • When working with both internal and external customers, the Director of Quality will utilize skills and abilities to express the CRSS Mission as the belief that continuous process improvement is "doing the right thing in the right way for the right reason every time" is the CRSS way of life.

  • Work with CRSS staff, Catholic Charities Federation, and Archdiocesan personnel.
