Description
Position Purpose:
The main purpose of this position is to increase sales of technology solutions and professional services. This position is responsible for conducting the activities described below in an assigned geographical territory.
Major Activities:
Working closely with Machine Sales Representatives and Sales Managers to promote Komatsu Intelligent Machines, Aftermarket Solutions and Professional Services in an assigned geographical territory.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
  • Conduct phone support for all the solutions and services we represent. Coordinates field support with our Service Departments to ensure timely resolution of client issues. Assist with field support as needed.
  • In conjunction with our Service Departments, help coordinate with clients the initial phases of installation, calibration, and rental check-in/out of equipment, leveraging internal and external resources and capabilities for maximum effectiveness and value. Assist with installation, calibration, and rental check-in/out of equipment as needed.
  • Hold classroom and field training sessions with clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all marketing, prospecting and sales activities within the divisions central CRM system, encompassing lead management, appointments / sales calls, presentations and proposals, negotiations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned segment and territory.
  • Follow up and follow through with all proposals until a resolution is reached.
  • Generate professional proposals that contain an accurate configuration of equipment and that clearly present the proposed solution or service to the client.
  • Provide solutions to these challenges via presentations or live demonstrations that accurately show their value with sufficient and satisfactory ROI to our clients.
  • Cultivate trust and rapport through effective, written, phone and face to face communication with clients. Ask probing questions and attentively listen to determine the challenges our clients face.
  • Strategically prospect to identify existing and potential clients who would benefit from our solutions and services.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company's equipment, software, services, capabilities and value proposition, and of the designated market segments and assigned accounts and prospects.
Other Duties:
  • Set both short and long term professional goals and continuously monitors progress towards achievement.
  • Compiles data and reports to management on customer trends, market dynamics and competitive services & pricing.
  • Attends and actively participates in all designated company meetings (staff meetings, sales meetings, planning sessions, etc.), industry/association events, and appropriate training sessions.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws, company policies and procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Two-year degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology or related field of study desired,
  • 5 years experience using machine control technology in the field
  • Positive can-do attitude and personal accountability for delivering results, with the desire and willingness to continuously learn and grow.
  • Goal oriented and strong desire for continuous personal growth.
  • Strong planning, personal organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and build strong relationships inside and outside of the company.
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations and proposals.
  • Strong computer user skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer), and Windows-based and/or online software. Working Knowledge of Topcon software platforms preferred.
  • Able to routinely travel overnight for product demonstration, training or other company related business.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
