Description
Family-owned and -operated since 1964, TFE provides high-quality Fluid Power and Power Transmission products to northeast and central Indiana, northwest Ohio and southern Michigan. TFE is a growing company with emphasis on quality products and service for the OEM customer and the end user.
We are hiring an experienced Assistant Controller that is highly motivated and experienced in manufacturing accounting. This person will report directly to the Controller and lead day to day accounting operations.
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
General Job Duties:
Reconciles subsidiary accounts to the general ledger.
Review and prepare monthly account reconciliations for all general ledger accounts and validate accuracy and substance of schedules supporting the reconciliations.
Complete month end journal entries.
Assist Controller in preparing budgets.
Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Maintain vendor rebates and price updates.
Support other accounting personnel and serve as backup to A/P and A/R.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting or finance.
3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred .
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
Financial statement preparation and month end close experience.
Data analysis and forecasting.
Working knowledge of general ledger and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel knowledge required for this role.
Preferences:
Strong attention to detail, solid organization, and analytical mindset.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with ERP implementations.
Experience with Epicor system.
