Job Title: Network Support Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Network Support Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TCP/IP networking, VLAN configuration, BGP routing, and Linux administration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, spanning tree protocols, and network segmentation.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Implement and manage BGP routing and other dynamic routing protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network equipment and systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with VLAN configuration and management.
• Strong understanding of BGP and other routing protocols.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, Zabbix).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills (not required but a plus):

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent.
• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and monitoring tasks.
