Program Manager
The GBS Group has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician. As an Air Systems Electrical Engineering Technician with GBS, you will work both independently and with a team of professional engineers and technicians at MARMC on complex projects related to Naval ship systems platforms. The position will provide system troubleshooting and repair and assessments of equipment.
Program Manager responsibilities include the following:
  1. Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the last 15 years in design, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of US Navy HM&E systems. Familiarization with Regional Maintenance Center Engineering Department functions and Technical Authority with regard to US Navy ship repair.
  2. Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in project management support involving US Navy surface ship maintenance.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
The Program Manager (PM) Shall:
  • Provide program management and administrative support to MARMC. Utilize expert communication skills to direct skilled technical resources, as well as report technical progress, issues, and problem areas. In addition, the PM shall be responsible for writing and reviewing technical documents.
  • Provide strong organizational and technical management skills. Perform detail-oriented work, be self-motivated, possess strong analytic skills, be customer oriented, and clearly communicate ideas (orally and in writing).
  • Serve as contracting company's main point of contact with the Contracting Officer (KO), the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), the government's Technical Point of Contact (TPOC), and the Contractor's senior management. This includes being the main point of contact for all sub-contractors.
  • Report to the KO and COR that all work is performed IAW the contractual requirements and performance standards.
  • Report to the KO and COR that all personnel involved in providing or supporting services under the contract meet requirements established by the Task Order
  • Report to the KO and COR that appropriate controls to prevent and detect cases of employee fraud and/or malfeasance are established.
  • Report to the KO and COR appropriately for Key Personnel turnover by ensuring that replacements are identified, proposed, and replaced in a timely manner.
  • The contractor PM must supervise all contract company employees and is responsible for the performance of their tasks.
