Principle Purpose of Job

As a Cowpoke Camp Counselor at the Ranch, you'll play a vital role in creating unforgettable experiences for families. You'll work closely with children aged 5-12, guiding them through a variety of engaging and educational activities centered around our Stables. Your enthusiasm, energy, and passion for working with kids will shine through as you lead outdoor adventures, animal care sessions, and interactive games.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children aged 5-12 during planned activities.
• Lead diverse activities, including caring for animals like rabbits, goats, chickens, and mini horses.
• Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere by actively participating in activities and games.
• Maintain flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed to accommodate guest schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service, catering to the needs of both internal and external guests.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with all Devil's Thumb Ranch policies and procedures.
• Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Devil's Thumb Ranch with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Stay informed about ranch operations to assist guests and provide recommendations.
• Attend training sessions to enhance skills in areas such as leading rides, grooming, and small animal care.

Requirements

Personal Attributes/Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Previous experience in early childhood education, teaching, or coaching is a plus.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Display a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds.

Compensation Description:

$13.00 - 15.00/hr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
