Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Engineering Production Manager to join our team. As a CNC Engineering Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the custom seal production process, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and continuous improvement. This is a key leadership role that requires strong management skills and a deep understanding of production operations.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resources.
• Manage and coordinate production activities, including fabricating, assembling, and packaging products.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Implement and maintain effective systems for inventory management, supply chain, and procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
• Lead and mentor production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in production management.
• Provide support to site operations in line with production demands and business goals by delivering an effective and efficient service across all interface areas.
• Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the machining team. Drive continuous process improvement through the use of KPI metrics.
• Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise in support of Production and Maintenance.
• Complete necessary inspections utilizing measuring instruments including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), and various hand measuring tools (dial calipers, micrometers, height, thread, and dial bore gages, etc.)
• Work closely with the company’s Quality Management Representative to conduct internal audits, procedural conformance, and documentation, including Inspection Reports, Defective Material Reports, and Corrective Action Reports.
• Work with production/manufacturing management and direct labor to support corrective actions to reduce the recurrence of non-conformances, reduce error and improve quality.
• Seek process improvements and other cost reduction opportunities.
• Ensure quality of suppliers of finished goods, subcontractors of specialty operations and all outside processing vendors. Authorize part readiness, before parts are moved to outside processing vendors.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Hands-on experience in a CNC machining environment. Experience with HAAS CNC lathes using plastics and rubber a plus!
• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in production management or related role
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in supply chain management and inventory control systems
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical skills, high degree of accuracy and precision.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control practices and in PSM / HAZOP programs.
• Strong knowledge in engineering standards, materials, and companies/vendors processes
• Proficiency with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines to include MS Office Suite.
• Prior experience in an ISO 9001:2015 environment preferred.
