JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting Interfaith’s Family Homelessness Initiative. This position builds and maintains a community-wide quality by-name data set. This includes socializing data definitions, developing a shared vision for quality data, establishing reporting policies and procedures to ensure timely and clean data, and producing data products that facilitate data-driven decision making. Is the community’s most ardent data evangelist and promotes the importance of creating and using data for continuous quality improvement methods and system change efforts.

· Supports activities related to private foundation awards focused on decreasing family homelessness;
· Serves as lead data architect for development and implementation of the North County By-Name-List focusing on ending family homelessness;
· Ensures the by-name dataset is accurate, comprehensive, and reflective of ground truth by understanding how work on the ground is reflected in data and developing policies, procedures, and workflows to source and clean community
Data;
· Documents and socializes how the data ecosystem should operate through
designing and distributing SOPs, data dictionaries, business rules, and reporting
policies/norms;
· Tracks outcomes and performance, using the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)/Clarity Human Services and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO);
· Works closely with the region’s HMIS Lead Agency;
· Engages with Built for Zero to develop a strong understanding of quality data
definitions, to learn from other data leads, and to support others in the sector;
· Prepares ad-hoc reports and data queries as requested by leadership;
· Supports staff in use and compliance with the region’s Coordinated Entry System;
· Performs analysis of data, including trends in program performance, client demographics, and needs assessments;
· Supports data preparation for regional case conferencing focusing specifically on families experiencing homelessness;
· Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including
government agencies, service providers, community agencies, and housing
providers;
· Supports efforts to ensure appropriate data collection related to family homelessness, including development of data collection tools;
· Creates or supports the development of data systems and/or data products (i.e.
reports and dashboards) to track and measure project performance, inform
decision-making and assess the impact of system changes;
· Enters data and facilitates the entry of data into HMIS through direct entry or
through creating training, guides, and coaching support for others in the community;
· Supports all reporting as required by funding sources and/or agency leadership;
Informs policies and procedures to clear the path for stronger data infrastructure (i.e. developing reporting SOPs, data sharing agreements, and community-wide data norms).
· Assists management in ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, County, and local regulations related to the operation of Interfaith’s programs dedicated towards decreasing family homelessness; and
· Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Public Administration, or related field required.
· Two (2) or more years of experience working in programs addressing homelessness, data analysis and reporting, or other similar experience, required.
· Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements.
· Experience with Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)/Clarity Human Services and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) preferred.
· Knowledge of Coordinated Entry System preferred.
