Position: Credit Analyst Intern (Summer 2024)

Organizational Location: Houston, Texas

What the role is

Introduces students to the various processes involved in underwriting and servicing commercial loans. Mentoring relationships with Cadence leaders, "Meet & Greets" featuring guest speakers and team-building activities provide important engagement opportunities while simultaneously allowing participants to make valuable contributions to the bank and the communities we serve. This is an on-site position.

* Participate in credit underwriting training including readings, exercises, and review sessions.

* Participate in business skills training including review sessions, exercises and presentations.

* Participate in question and answer sessions with Senior Loan Committee including reviewing credit packages ahead of time.

* Performs other duties as required.

* The program runs from June 5 -- July 28, 2024.

* Positions are available in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.

Required Skills:

* 3.0 or higher GPA

* Plan to take a minimum of 9 hours of accounting including intermediate before graduation

* Strong technical and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities and internship/work experience

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications to include Word and Excel, as well as other database application systems

Education:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with one year or less before graduation.
