Assistant Professor of History - Lyon College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History position beginning in August 2024. All candidates should have their terminal degree. The History Department seeks candidates who specialize in any area of non-western history. The ability to teach a broad range of courses is necessary. Experience and/or interest in teaching core curriculum courses, World Civilization, and Historiography and the Historical Method is preferred. Additional responsibilities will include academic advising and service on college committees beginning in the second year. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the distinctive nature of teaching at a small liberal arts college. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
