THE MARLENE MEYERSON JCC MANHATTAN POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: After School Counselor Department : Center for Family Life ReportsTo : Director of School Age Programming FLSA Status : Non-Exempt Date : June 2023 Summary: Our School-Age Programs department is looking for responsible, caring individuals to work in our After School Clubhouse program. Clubhouse provides a safe and welcoming environment for children ages 4-10. Our vision is to raise thoughtful members of our community while recognizing the individual needs of our participants. Duties and Responsibilities:
Picking up children from schools on the Upper West Side and escorting them to the JCC.
Providing a safe and fun environment for children in the Clubhouse program.
Leading and assisting with age-appropriate activities for children 4-10, serving snacks, and working collaboratively on a team.
Frequent communication with supervisors.
Escorting children to various After School classes within the JCC.
Attending monthly staff development meetings.
Qualifications:
Interested applicants must be 18 .
Experience working with children 4-10 years.
College education is greatly preferred.
Must provide proof of vaccination status.

Part-time staff working at MMJCCM for 5-19 hours/week will receive individual access to the fitness center, pool, and gym at no cost!
