PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead by example and coach team to provide exceptional patient experiences.
  • Create, establish and manage internal office protocols and procedures to ensure office efficiency.
  • Evaluate and review office production and procedures to develop new ways to improve efficiency with office operations, patient retention, and profitability.
  • Maintain focus on a productive schedule that supports dentists and hygienists.
  • Manage accounts receivables including timely and accurate insurance claim processing.
  • Schedule team members to ensure adequate shift coverage and facilitate requests for time off.
  • Provide the Dentist with administrative and practical support when asked.
  • Serve as the liaison between ProHEALTH Dental Corporate Offices (CBO) departments, including: Administration, Payroll, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Marketing.
  • Assist in the interviewing, on-boarding and training of new hires.
  • Train, develop and performance manage staff to meet performance standards.
  • Communicate with office team regularly to ensure they have the information, tools, and support needed to perform their jobs effectively and successfully.
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as bank deposits, revenue posting, staff and provider payroll, accounts receivable reports and invoice processing.
  • Respond to doctor, patient and employee grievances, complaints, and inquiries and seek assistance when necessary
  • Run and analyze management reports.
  • Organize and oversee supply purchases, equipment upgrades and operations expenses.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations including OSHA.
  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of dental office management or supervisory experience required.
  • Prior experience with dental management software, Dentrix Enterprise preferred.
  • Working knowledge of dental billing and insurance protocols.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis.

  • Proficient computer skills (i.e.Windows, Microsoft Office Suite).
