PURPOSE

Our team is looking to add a Managing Director to our team. The Managing Director will serve as the leader developing and assessing the new and current business initiatives, drive account growth and new business, and be part of a leadership team to drive overall company strategy. This role will have a focus on Insights & Analytics, including experience with and an understanding of data strategy, digital asset management, and AI strategy, as their area of expertise on the leadership team. The Managing Director will also serve as a people leader, helping to mentor and lead staff in individual and company grow, on completing project deliverables, and to build community across the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client and Project Management

  • Manage and administer company contracts, including oversight of proposal preparation and contract negotiations.
  • Effectively assess engagement related risks and develop proactive plans to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with senior client management and institute executive leadership.
  • Manage expectations of service delivery and direct staff to accomplish deadlines across business service areas.
  • Effectively supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Salt Flats staff at various levels withing the organization and team.
  • Manage project plans, estimate and allocate resources, monitor and track project execution, and ensure budgets and timelines are met.
  • Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment with individual accountability and ownership to the success of the practice.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Insights & Analytics across firm projects.

Leadership and Business Development

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to build and implement regional and organizational sales and delivery strategy.
  • Own a portfolio of clients to build and nurture relationships to lead our clients in their digital transformation.
  • Generate new business through marketing, partner relationships, and cold calling efforts.
  • Create sales presentations, proposals, and other materials required in the sales cycle.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle from demand creation, deal pursuit, and contract closure.
  • Guide team members in developing and preparing pricing schedules and cost/price models in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Meet business development goals set and communicated annually.
  • Commit to knowledge development, continue to educate, and share knowledge with clients and team members.
  • Build collaborative methods to communicate marketing, sales, and delivery efforts with organization staff members.
  • Lead a counseling family to support the development of staff.
  • Act as part of the leadership team to make staffing decisions.

NECESSARY SKILLS

  • Able to act as a thought leader, advisor, and problem solver in Insights & Analytics evaluating AI trends and recommending action plans to clients.
  • Understanding of programming languages, such as Python, C , or Java, and cloud computing and AI services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including the machine learning and AI tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and extend current projects.
  • Experience in conducting workshops, training sessions, and public speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level clients.
  • Possess superior written and verbal presentation skills, including ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical leaders and stakeholders.
  • Expert level knowledge of all Microsoft programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business analytics, mathematics, computer science, or another closely related discipline
  • 15 years of professional management consulting experience
  • 10 years of leading top-tier, large projects in a consulting environment, including developing work plans, coordinating resources to meet deadlines for deliverables, and tracking staff contributions
  • Experience generating and building new client relationships
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in business, mathematics, computer science, or another closely related discipline
  • 20 years of professional management consulting experience
  • 10 years of experience generating and building new client relationships
  • Experience guiding clients in AI strategy and solutions.
