Description

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the administration of the Purchase Requisition process for the Company.
2. Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities. 
3. Work with Management to report and monitor process compliance. 
4. Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels to realize procurement goals and objectives. 
5. Analyze price trends and assess their impact on future activities.
6. Look for process improvement opportunities.
7. Expedite/follow through on receipt and payment.
8. Liaise effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
9. Resolve supplier issues relating to quality, delivery and pricing.
10. Identify and support management in strategic MRO cost savings projects.
11. Obtain materials from suppliers at lowest cost with considerations of safety, quality, and sustainability, reliability of source and urgency of need. This includes interviewing vendors, recommending sources of supply, requesting and analyzing quotations from multiple suppliers, preparing & placing orders, scheduling deliveries, following up on orders, obtaining certifications of delivery and inspecting orders for accuracy.
12. Prepare purchase order documents and agreements for repetitive purchases.
13. Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient processes.
14. Comply with safety regulations and ensure cleanliness in work area.
15. Immediately report incidents and accidents in work area. 
16. Ensure high levels of awareness of Supply Chain activities are maintained throughout the business. 

17. Develop constructive relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants and governmental agency representatives as necessary. 

18. Work with peers, superiors and subordinates to insure the development and execution of the department/operating plan. 

19. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Skills & Experience Required:

2. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with Purchasing duties. 
3. A minimum of 2-3 years of purchasing experience required
4. Fluent in English with comprehensive speaking, writing, spelling skills.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and outlook) with an advanced level of Excel experience to include pivot table development and other features
7. Must be computer literate in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications 
8. Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
9. Able to plan ahead, develop action plans, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and easily adapt to changing situations 
10. Follows applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations

11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
