Description

We are seeking a Data Technician I to join the Structured Cabling Team in Waco, TX. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite while also providing excellent customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of cable systems and associated hardware.
• Responsible for the use of hand and power tools as well as work in small spaces and from various heights.
• Assists with housekeeping for a safe job site.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to ask applicable questions and willingness to learn new skills.
• Punctuality and consistent daily attendance
• BASIC HAND TOOLS OWNED BY EMPLOYEE, (DRILL, SNIPS, SCREWDRIVERS)
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform assigned job site tasks.
• Understanding of safety as it relates to each division and the use of appropriate safety measures in daily tasks.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• No technical or previous industry experience. Higher wages reserved for similar background/experience (Construction, Electrical, or some sort of tradecraft).
• OSHA 10 preferred but not required for hire.

Physical Requirements

• Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Able to work on a ladder up 8 hours.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
