Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide
Purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide:
The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement housekeeping procedures to meet residents needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department
Notify supervisor when supplies are needed
Notify supervisor when equipment in need of repair
notify supervisor when areas of the facility are in need of repair
Follow oral and written instructions
Follow material safety data sheets (MDS)
Operate Housekeeping equipment safely
Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy
Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions
Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment
Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide Qualifications:
- Minimum education level of 10th grade
- Housekeeping experience preferred
