Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/year

Description

We are seeking an experience and creative individual to join our team as the Multimedia Videographer and Editor. This position plays a critical role within our team, blending technical expertise with creative storytelling skills to manage and execute all aspects of multimedia content creation. Responsible for video/audio recording, lighting, post-production editing, sound design, visual effects, and color grading, this versatile and highly skilled professional ensures the highest quality and creative consistency across all projects. Collaborating closely with and reporting directly to the Director of IWP Media, the Multimedia Videographer and Editor plays a crucial part in the successful execution of our multimedia endeavors, producing captivating and visually stunning content.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Cinematography:
  • Operate cameras to capture high-quality video footage.
  • Set up shots, framing, and camera movement to achieve desired visual effects.
  • Ensure proper exposure, focus, and composition.
  • Gaffer and Grip:
  • Design and implement lighting setups to achieve desired moods and aesthetics.
  • Set up and control lighting equipment, including fixtures, filters and modifiers.
  • Operate camera stabilizers and other grip equipment for smooth shots.
  • Editing:
  • Edit video footage to create engaging and coherent narratives, both short- and long-form.
  • Manage file transfers & media storage.
  • Collaborate with director / producer to achieve the desired storytelling objectives.
  • Sound Editing:
  • Record and edit audio on-set and in-studio.
  • Add and mix sound effects, music, and dialogue to enhance the audio experience.
  • Visual Effects (VFX):
    • Create or integrate visual effects to enhance the visual storytelling.
    • Utilize software tools to add CGI elements, animations, and compositing.
  • Color Grading:
    • Enhance the visual aesthetics and mood of the content through color correction and grading.
    • Collaborate with directors and art directors to achieve the desired color palette.

Qualifications


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, or related field, or equivalent in experience
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interest in and commitment to IWP’s mission

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in cinematography, lighting, and grip work
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Strong skills in sound editing and mixing (e.g., Adobe Audition)
  • Experience in visual effects creation and compositing (e.g., Adobe After Effects)
  • Knowledge of color grading techniques in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Knowledge of media file management and storage (e.g., NAS & cloud-based)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen artistic eye
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a solutions-based attitude
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to various multimedia project requirements
  • Ability and willingness to continue to upskill to new tools (e.g., AI-based)

Work Environment:

  • General office environment. On-site work required. Some domestic travel required.
  • Social and event settings
  • Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. This role requires work schedule flexibility based on events
  • Travel: This position may be required to travel 10% of working time.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires frequent movement around the studio and various on-set locations, including standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, etc.
  • Must be able to set up, operate, and dismantle various types of video, audio, and lighting equipment. This includes the ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Ability to work in various conditions, indoor and outdoor environments, accommodating diverse locations of shoots.
