We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Deli Attendant to join our team. As a Deli Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of deli products, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area. Your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our deli department.
Shift: 12pm-8:30pm or 4pm-8:30pm We are looking to hire several Full Time and Part Time applicants.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, assist them in selecting deli products, and provide product information and recommendations as needed.
Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and other specialty items, according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Food Handling: Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all deli products to maintain freshness and quality standards. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including display cases, countertops, and equipment. Regularly clean and sanitize workstations and utensils to ensure a hygienic environment.
Inventory Management: Monitor and restock deli products to ensure availability and minimize wastage. Notify the supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies in inventory.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with product offerings, seasonal promotions, and new items in the deli department. Provide accurate information to customers regarding ingredients, allergens, and dietary restrictions.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other deli staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Assist in training new team members as required.
Qualifications:
Previous Experience: Prior experience in a deli, food service, or customer-facing role is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is desirable.
Excellent Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes accurately, maintain product quality, and ensure proper portioning.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), and work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
Positive Attitude: A friendly and positive demeanor with a genuine desire to assist customers and create a pleasant shopping experience.
