Job Summary:

The maintenance technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing or overseeing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician maintains all aspects of the Resort in alignment with the vision and direction of the Company, brand requirements, and local, state and national regulations. Monitors areas to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures. Works as a liaison with the Housekeeping / Public Areas Supervisor and any outside 3^rd party housekeeping or cleaning service. In some circumstances, the Maintenance Technician may also be assigned responsibility for a specific area of the Resort. Adheres to department budget. Responsible for the clean, safe fun environment of the Resort operation that he or she works in. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions. Welcomes and greets arriving and departing guests. Proactively provides our guests with personal service and attention that exceeds their expectations. Accountable for maintaining high service and quality standards according to brand standards, including Quality Assurance Inspections and Guest Satisfaction Surveys.

Job Duties: Daily Operations

As the Maintenance technician your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Constant execution of Margaritaville Resort - Biloxi standards and policies.
• Ensure excellent relations with guests and other team members.
• Understand, comply with:
  • All Company policies, procedures, and operating standards.
  • All federal/state/local laws and ordinances.

• Understands and is proficient in all systems and tools to perform job duties.
• Able to install and maintain machines and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled and or scheduled repairs on production equipment.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Complete required and ongoing training for the position.
• Assist management in training new Staff Members within department when applicable.
• Prioritize and complete all assigned task, for maximum productively and efficiency.
• Ensure a harassment-free environment through proper personal conduct.
• Use respectful language with Guests, Team Members, Supervisors and Managers at all times.
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations to avoid danger to self, Team Members, and Guests; remain calm at all times.
• Notify manager/supervisor of low inventory.
• Accountable for maintaining high service and quality standards according to brand standards, including Quality Assurance Inspections and Guest Satisfaction Surveys.
• Other duties as required or assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times.
2. May attend weekly or monthly departmental meetings.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. 1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 4 years of experience in maintenance.
3. HVAC certified
4. Excellent reading, writing, mathematical skills must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and have great communication skills.
5. Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
6. Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
7. Good judgment and decision making abilities.

Physical Requirements:

On a continuous basis, stand or sit for long periods of time, intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies, perform simple grasping and fine manipulation.

1. The incumbent should be able to stand continuously for periods over 1 hour.
2. Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly. Long hours sometimes may be required. Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
3. Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from lower to higher position or higher to lower position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position and be able to grasp objects while bending, stooping, standing, sitting or walking,
4. Will be required to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
5. Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
6. Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
7. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus both indoors and outdoors.

1. Occasional travel for training purposes or other business needs.
2. May be required to work, in a changing indoor and outdoor environment, such as bright sunlight, noise, wind, rain, cold, snow, heat, smoke etc.
3. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
4. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
5. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
6. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers, guest, and members.
7. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness.
