St. Matthew Catholic School is Hiring a Music Teacher Near El Paso, TX
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for providing engaging and comprehensive music instruction to students of various ages and skill levels. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the TEKS curriculum that covers various aspects of music education
- Teach students how to read sheet music, play instruments, and understand music theory
- Plan and conduct individual and group music lessons
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Organize and coordinate music performances or recitals
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience teaching music to students of different age groups
- Proficient in playing one or more musical instruments
- Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Passion for working with children and fostering their love for music
