Michiana Truck Center is looking for qualified technicians to help keep our customers’ trucks on the road. Diesel or Gas mechanical experience is required.
This position would involve everything from Preventative Maintenance and DOT inspections to complete engine/transmission replacement, electrical repair, liftgate repair and beyond.
This position offers great pay, flexible 1st shift schedule (4, 10 hour shifts or 5, 8 hour shifts), no weekends. Tool allowance and benefit package included – plus the incredible opportunity to train with our OEM partners on a regular basis. We also offer help with attaining your CDL for those without one.
The ideal candidates will possess:
- Reliability and a commitment to excellence and safety
- A deep understanding of Diesel or Gas engines, with diagnostic experience preferred
- A good attitude and ability to work well with others
- Reading work orders and writing explanations of required work to explain the repair process
- Mapping out work procedures using technical manuals and charts
- Inspecting various parts of vehicles, including transmissions, engines, steering mechanisms and
brake systems, while following checklists to ensure all important parts are examined
- Test-driving vehicles to ensure everything is working properly
- The desire to advance their knowledge through training
- CDL preferred but not required
- Your own set of tools
