Job SummaryReporting to the maintenance supervisor, the maintenance technician is responsible for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic reactive as well as scheduled and assigned proactive work at the York facility on 2nd shift.Job DutiesUnderstands and follows safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures. Performs all tasks safely and does not take risks as it pertains to safety Quickly and safely troubleshoots equipment issues and implements optimum corrective action. Documents work performed in sufficient detail in order to capture strong historical data for future analysisReads and understands mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical schematics Performs all tasks with exceptional housekeeping. Maintains strong housekeeping principles in their own personal areas.Can understand overall equipment operation/function and applies to maintenance, repair and troubleshootingFabricates and installs various electrical, piping, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Perform other duties as assignedAlthough this is a 24/5 operation some weekend work is required Experience and EducationPerform work under general supervision4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferredor4 years of military experience in a technical work fieldTypically require a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 to 4 years of experience accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades programA 2-year degree in an industrial or mechatronics field is preferredCompetencies / SkillsAbility to interpret work instructionsAbility to follow written and verbal directionsStrong Communication skillsStrong Electrical Troubleshooting skillsStrong Mechanical Troubleshooting skillsExperience with injection presses is preferredWelding skills is preferredStrong mathematical skills
