Description

General Summary

Under the direction of the Branch Service Supervisor, and in compliance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of sales activities. Performs customer services such as opening new checking, savings and certificate accounts; performs teller services as needed and answers questions concerning products and/or services provided by the bank.

Essential Functions

• Open new deposit accounts 
• Service existing deposit accounts
• Answer customer inquiries
• Accepts and processes stop payments, changes of address, wire transfer requests, debit cards, etc.
• Order checks and deposit slips
• Close deposit accounts
• Perform teller functions when back up is needed 
• Available to open or close the teller line
• Perform all paying and receiving teller functions 
• Receive and process all night deposit bags
• Assist in the servicing of existing and potential customers
• Assure that corporate goals (objectives) are met
• Develop new and existing relationships
• Is knowledgeable of regulatory requirements and compliance issues as related to area of responsibility
• Follow through on established Training Curriculum
• Cross-trained in all customer service duties
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of coin as needed

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a normal work schedule of 8 am–5 pm Monday–Friday.

Requirements

Minimum Level of Preparation and Training

• A high school diploma or G.E.D.
• One to three years of job related experience in lobby services, new accounts or other customer related position. 
• Completion of new accounts training program and teller training program.
• Excellent working knowledge of bank products and services.
• Previous sales or retail experience preferred.
• Have a pleasant and friendly telephone demeanor and voice
