FACILITY SUPERVISOR

Reports to: YARD OPERATIONS MANAGER

Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $22.00 to $26.00 an hour

Overview:

The Facility Supervisor’s duties and responsibilities include overseeing the operations and maintenance of a facility or building. Supervising daily operations within the facility, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and Cardlock facilities. Assigning tasks and responsibilities to yardmen and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts. Identifying areas for improvement in facility operations and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Daily Tasks and Duties include:

• Assists with all front counter duties. Emails, phones, walk in customers, will call, cash drawer, etc.
• Perform various outdoor activities when needed including receiving, sorting, loading, and unloading products, propane, fuel sales, etc. Able to lift 100 lbs. (Back-up when needed).
• Supervise that the yardmen are Repackaging Bulk Products, into pails, drums, totes.
• Supervise the Loading/Lifting/Moving up to 4000 lbs. with equipment (dolly, pallet jack).
• Prepares loaned equipment for use at customer locations.
• Ensures all product deliveries are off-loaded in a safe and efficient manner; in accordance with Shell Lubricants’ DPQA policies and guidelines.
• Counts and reports month-end Lube and DEF inventories to Turner Road.
• Provides direction to yardmen on daily yard and cardlock maintenance, and any additional activities.
• Prioritizes based on schedules and need.
• Cooperatively work with LTL and Transport Dispatch.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials, especially hazardous ones.
• Maintain Cardlock Facilities daily and weekly.
• Report any issues with the yard, equipment, or Cardlock facilities to your supervisor or a member of management.
• Conduct a pre and post trip inspection of all equipment.
• Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly facility audits of the yard and Cardlock locations.

Skills and Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1. High School Diploma is required, Associate degree from an U.S. accredited Community College is preferred but not required.

2. Must have skills in accuracy and attention to detail, including timely follow-up in expediting exceptions.

3. Effectively and efficiently supervise others.

4. Computer literate preferably in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

5. Superior data entry skills are a must, and experience.

6. Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment.

7. At least 2 years of relevant work experience

8. Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
