About the project

We're looking for a talented Project Manager to join a large-scale BESS project in Germany. This is a great opportunity to work for one of the leading energy companies in the industry as a freelancer.

About the role

Some of your key responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Coordination: Oversee the development and execution of detailed project plans for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), ensuring that each phase of the installation and operational processes is completed on time and within the allocated budget.
• Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration between engineers, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies, while maintaining transparent communication with all project stakeholders.
• Risk & Budget Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks to project timelines or performance, implementing effective mitigation strategies. Manage the project budget, ensuring cost control and efficient use of resources throughout the project.
• Quality & Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all project deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Strictly enforce environmental and safety protocols to safeguard the project’s success and meet industry standards.

What we require from you

Essential:

• Fluent in German
• Previous Project Management experience working on BESS/Grid Stabilisation projects
• Good understanding of BESS and relevant standards within the BESS energy industry
• Experience with high voltage battery systems
• Ability to plan, schedule, and manage complex projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
