AIFM Conducting Officer - Portfolio Management

Description:
We are seeking a Conducting Officer for our client's Portfolio Management team at their boutique Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) based in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the investment portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while driving performance and risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Portfolio Management Oversight:
- Oversee the management of investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with the fund’s investment strategy and objectives
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, risk profiles, and asset allocation.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Luxembourg regulatory frameworks and compliance standards related to AIFM operations
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage audits and inspections
3. Risk Management:
- Implement and monitor risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate investment risks
- Prepare risk reports and present findings to stakeholders
4. Investment Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with investment teams to devise and refine investment strategies based on market research and analysis
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of investment opportunities
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance and compliance to the board and stakeholders
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with legal and regulatory requirements
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including compliance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless fund management
- Mentor and train junior staff in portfolio management practices and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of [7] years of experience in portfolio management, preferably within an AIFM or financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory frameworks applicable to AIFMs
- Proven track record of managing investment portfolios and driving performance
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skill
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
