The role is based in our Shared Service Center in Bucharest and it’s a fully remote type of work.

Senior Financial Accounting Analyst - Manufacturing - working schedule 15.00-24.00, fully remote (candidates should be based in Romania)

General role purpose

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related projects, while providing reports to various levels of the organization. This position contributes to the organization by delivering thorough and detailed analysis, along with actionable recommendations, which enhance visibility into business performance and support better decision-making.

Reporting

• Supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and press releases.
• Researching technical IFRS-related matters and drafting accounting memos
• Supporting preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, disclosure notes and monthly reports
• Creation, maintenance, and reporting of the monthly KPI dashboard
• Development, maintenance, reporting, and presentation of the monthly, quarterly and annual management package
• Variance/comparative analysis with commentary on actual vs plan results

Continuous Improvement

• Optimization of business processes related to financial processing
• Implementation and integration of OneStream consolidation and reporting tool
• Ensure full compliance with corporate and internal control policies and procedures. Assist with internal controls testing and documentation.

Business Planning and Analysis

• Supporting the completion and presentation of the annual financial budget process
• Development and updating of forecasting models
• Analysis of operating results for variances from the Plan and Forecast and provide commentary on the discrepancies.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

• Ability to work well with the existing team and the possession of good communications skills and a desire to succeed
• Experience working with integrated ERP systems (preference given to IFS and OneStream)
• Ability to synthesize data and effectively communicate results into trends and patterns to management
• Exposure to IFRS and US GAAP
• Able to relate to a wide cross-section of staff
• Looks for opportunities to improve processes and use technology wherever possible
• At least 8 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
• English – advanced
• MS Office – Excel – proficient
