Currently looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer who can translate complex data into actionable insights, while also taking ownership of BI solutions from development through deployment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on, in-depth experience with Power BI, data modeling, and a strong business acumen, coupled with the critical soft skills that ensure high-quality solutions.

• Power BI Expertise

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with Power BI in a business environment.

• Certification: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) is highly preferred.

• Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous Power BI projects and dashboards, demonstrating your ability to design, develop, and deliver actionable business intelligence solutions. The portfolio should highlight a variety of report types, data sources, and techniques used (e.g., DAX, Power Query).

• Key Skills:

o Data visualization and dashboard creation.

o Data import, transformation, and cleaning using Power Query.

o Advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex business logic.

o Power BI service and app creation. o Integration of Power BI with various data sources (SQL, Azure, Excel, etc.)

• General BI & Data Analytics Expertise (Essential):

• Data Modeling: Solid understanding of data modeling concepts such as star schema, snowflake schema, and data normalization/denormalization. Ability to create, maintain, and optimize data models.

• SQL: Strong working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and interact with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

• Relational Databases: Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and ETL processes.

• Dashboard Design: Expertise in designing intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that effectively communicate insights. Strong understanding of UI/UX principles for data visualization, layout optimization, and performance tuning in BI tools like Power BI.

• Project Delivery Tools: Experience in working with project management and delivery tools (preferably Jira) for tracking development progress, managing tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on BI-related projects.

• General BI & Data Analytics Expertise (Desirable):

• Experience in working with Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience in working with other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Looker Studio etc.

• Development experience using data science tools like R and Python. Business Understanding

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a Business Intelligence role within Finance or GTM Operations.

• Stakeholder Interaction: Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels to understand business needs and translate them into BI solutions.

• Key Skills:

o Ability to interpret business requirements and deliver actionable insights via reports and visualizations.

o Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

o Prior experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver BI solutions that drive business decisions.

• 25 holiday days per year
• Hybrid and full remote contracts will receive 150 RON/month for home gas/electricity/broadband bills

• The employees working on bank holidays will be benefitting either of a paid day off in the next 30 days 100% of the hourly base salary for that specific day OR 200% of the hourly base salary for that specific day.
• Reimbursement for eyeglasses – 25% reimbursed from the total cost, maximum to be reimbursed is 500 RON/year.
• Childbirth allowance of 6500 RON after 1 year in HCLTech.
