It operates a broad physical footprint and is currently undergoing transformation to evolve its customer offering, operating model, and digital presence. The company sits within a larger regional group and plays a key strategic role in the local market.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal leadership mandate to revitalise, stabilise, and grow a long-standing consumer-facing retail business in Singapore. The incoming Managing Director will have full P&L ownership and lead the organisation through its next phase of transformation - driving relevance, efficiency, and sustainable profitability in a fast-evolving, competitive retail environment.

The right-fit candidate must be bilingual in Chinese/Mandarin and English due to the nature of internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to deliver profitable growth, customer engagement, and long-term brand health across the Singapore business

• Oversee all functions including retail operations, marketing, merchandising, HR, finance, supply chain, and digital

• Develop and execute strategies to modernise the business while preserving its core identity and loyal customer base

• Champion digital transformation and omni-channel integration to strengthen competitiveness

• Build a high-performing, customer-focused leadership team aligned with the company's transformation goals

• Collaborate closely with the Regional CEO and Board to ensure alignment with group objectives

• Represent the Singapore business in regional forums and board-level discussions

Key Requirements

• Proven track record as a sitting General Manager, Managing Director, or CEO within the retail sector

• Strong experience managing large-scale teams and retail operations with full P&L accountability

• Demonstrated success in leading brand revitalisation, commercial transformation, and digital adoption

• High level of strategic acumen with hands-on operational capability

• Strong leadership presence, people development skills, and stakeholder management experience

• Bilingual in Mandarin and English is required due to the nature of internal and external communications
