Our GeoSpatialX lab (https://blog.nus.edu.sg/geospatialx/), based in the Geography Department at National University of Singapore, has conducted a series of infectious disease transmission and control studies. We are seeking to recruit an excellent Research Assistant on using statistical/AI models to better understand the geographic spread of mosquito-transmitted viruses (i.e., dengue) under future climate change scenarios in Southeast Asia.
You will have a Master or equivalent professional qualifications and relevant research experience in an epidemiology/health geography/statistical/mathematical/quantitative discipline. Strong experiences in statistical modeling, AI, infectious disease modelling, and computer programming skills would be advantageous. The project work will be highly interdisciplinary and as such there is some flexibility to accommodate expertise from a range of cognate disciplinary backgrounds (e.g. geography, demography, statistics, medicine, computer science, ecology, epidemiology etc).
Informal enquiries may be made to Prof. Luo Wei (geowl@nus.edu.sg). Please include a covering letter, full CV and 2 letters of recommendation in your application.
