Beginning Early Years Educator

Job Description

Creates a secure environment for young children through nurturing respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships with them.

Implement appropriate curricula and programmes with observation and assessment of the children's needs and developmental milestones to create a quality learning environment.

Provide holistic development for the children and forge trusting and respectful relationships and partnerships with families.

Actively carries out the Centre's initiatives and supports its collatborative efforts with the community and engages in continuous learning and development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan developmentally appropriate teaching, learning and caregiving activities aligned to Centre curricula frameworks.
• Foster relationships with families to facilitate the continuity of care and learning between home and the Centre.
• Develop outreach activities to promote Centre programmes and services.
• Guide routine caregiving practices in accordance with standards and procedures.
• Propose improvements to professional development and service quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• EY2 certified or Advanced Certificate in Early Years
• Min 2 years experience in early childhood education (Playgroup and Pre-Nursery)
• Passionate, committed and dedicated
• Preferably living in Punggol and Sengkang areas.
