Position Summary:

The Client Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing key operational activities, working closely with Client Management and Operational professionals across the business. This role will focus on delivering seamless services for APAC-based clients who have Separately Managed Account


Key Responsibilities

- Attend meetings with Clients, Account Managers, Account Associates, and Transition Teams to understand and document client requirements for:

  • New SMA setups
  • Custodian transitions
  • In-kind transfer events
  • Investment benchmark changes
  • New market openings
  • Trading counterparty changes
  • SMA terminations

- Serve as the central point of coordination across internal teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient management of portfolio events.

- Track portfolio event progress, proactively addressing delays or complexities and managing client expectations accordingly.

- Conduct post-implementation oversight to identify and resolve any issues following portfolio transitions.

- Manage and coordinate requests from internal portfolio managers or trade floor teams for:

  • Addition of new markets
  • Establishment of new trading counterparties/clearers
  • Approval of new securities
  • Communication with clients to obtain necessary authorizations

- Organize post-event review sessions to analyze performance, document learning opportunities, and implement process improvements.

- Execute additional day-to-day operational tasks as required to support client accounts and ensure operational excellence.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Client Operations, Portfolio Administration, Fund Transitions, or a related field within Asset Management or Financial Services.
  • Strong understanding of Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), custodian transitions, trade settlements, and investment benchmarks.
  • Experience coordinating portfolio transitions, market openings, and trading counterparty changes.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex operational processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing client expectations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with both internal teams and external clients effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Aladdin, or similar investment management systems is a plus.
