Operations Executive

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting and review of relevant oil product and/or crude contracts in a timely, accurate and efficient manner;
• Work closely with Finance department and counterparties on negotiation of LC terms prior submission of final draft for approval;
• Responsible for following through on the execution of the contract. Monitor and coordinate the entire cargo delivery by working closely with counterparties, ship owner, surveyor and shipping agents to help manage and mitigate cargo and shipping operational risks;
• Responsible for maintaining good relationships with cargo surveyors, insurance companies, shipping agents and counterparties to ensure smooth, efficient operations and add value to contract execution; Source market intelligence and share among team members and Traders for better decision making;
• Responsible for recording and maintaining relevant operational data, including but not limited to data entry and processing in the internal system (CXL), and initiating contract approvals and payment approvals in the OA system;
• Responsible for management of storage tank(s), including but not limited to the drafting and review of storage and inventory management measures, the execution of relevant contracts and agreements on storage leasing, the appointment of inspection companies to inspect the cleanliness of storage tanks, berth scheduling and planning, monitoring and management of stock quantity and quality in and out of the tanks, storage insurance, and oil blending operations if any;
• Assist in conducting due diligence checks on the company's investment opportunities in storage tanks, terminals and pipelines etc;
• Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor in related field or equivalent;
• Min. 3 years of work experience, preferably in commodities trading companies；
• Excellent organisational skills and networking skills, and enjoy developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders;
• Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
• Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/ in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
