Database Admin (Cloud)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in Oracle Database and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL on Azure, scripting knowledge in Ansible/Terraform, and working knowledge of CosmosDB. This role requires an individual who can manage, optimize, and secure database solutions while working in an enterprise cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle Database systems.

• Manage PostgreSQL databases on Azure, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform.

• Support and maintain CosmosDB, ensuring data consistency and security.

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization strategies.

• Implement security measures to safeguard database integrity and compliance.

• Collaborate with cloud and application teams to design and optimize database solutions.

• Develop and maintain database documentation and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle Database.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL on Azure, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Ansible and Terraform.

• Working knowledge of CosmosDB, including administration and optimization.

• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in database management.

• Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
