The incumbent will provide pre-sales and technical support for the development, application and installation of products to meet customer requirements and specifications. He/she will provide support to the Sales department in building strong relationships with our key customers. The incumbent will also provide coaching to the less experienced team members to help enhance their product knowledge and work process flow.

Job Responsibilities:

• Qualifies customers' requests for quotation to ensure that a quote will meet the customers' requirement.

• Prepares customer quotations in a timely manner, technically accurate and offering the best possible application solution.

• Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

o Provides pre-sales and technical support to customers and distributors;

o Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions;

o Reviews more complex project specifications and perform valve, material selection and sizing. Including submission of any comments and deviations;

o Responds and provide information on product range, prices and generate quotations in accordance with specifications/customer requirements;

o Recommends alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications;

o Communicates with internal manufacturing locations for queries on costing, lead time, special requirement, etc.

• Ensures customers' purchase orders are technically accurate as per quoted and commercially verified before sending for order entry.

• Provides guidance to less experienced team members in pre-sales and technical support related work.

• Provides technical support and attend technical clarifications meeting with sales.

• Supports department manager in driving continuous improvements through recommending opportunities for improvement in work processes.

• Leads in special projects as assigned.

• Ensures compliance of workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of a personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involve in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Flow Control and/or Instrumentation Industry.

• Ability and willingness to multi-task and manage priorities.

• Matured and independent with a good sense of judgement and a sense of urgency on priorities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent follow-up and analytical skills.

• Ability to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task and manage priorities.
