System Administrator

We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to support the maintenance and administration of our Tableau Server environment. This role involves assisting with system monitoring, user access management, basic troubleshooting, and performance checks. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in working with data visualization platforms and IT infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and basic maintenance of Tableau Server.
• Support user access management, including account setup, permissions, and security settings.
• Monitor Tableau Server performance and assist in troubleshooting basic connectivity and access issues.
• Help with software updates, patches, and backup processes under the guidance of senior administrators.
• Work with IT teams to ensure proper database connections and data source integrations.
• Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for future reference.
• Respond to basic technical support requests from users regarding Tableau access and functionality.
• Learn and assist in automation tasks using basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

Skills Required:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Some experience or coursework related to IT system administration, databases, or Tableau.
• Basic understanding of Tableau Server and its components (prior Tableau Desktop experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with Windows or Linux environments and basic command-line operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Good communication skills to interact with IT teams and business users.
