Victus/Jaxs PTE is a leading school catering company providing fresh, nutritious meals to students across Singapore. We are expanding our team and looking for a Pastry & Cold Kitchen Chef to join our café in Bukit Merah/Depot Road.

Role Overview

As a Pastry & Cold Kitchen Chef, you will be responsible for preparing freshly baked pastries, cakes, and desserts as well as cold kitchen items like salads, sandwiches, and light café-style dishes. You will work closely with the café team to ensure high-quality food, smooth service, and a welcoming environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pastry & Cold Kitchen Preparation

🥐 Bake fresh pastries, muffins, cakes, and desserts daily.
🥗 Prepare cold kitchen items including sandwiches, wraps, and salads.
🔥 Ensure food presentation and quality meet company standards.

2. Kitchen & Café Operations

✅ Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the café kitchen.
✅ Ensure timely replenishment of café display counters.
✅ Follow portion control and minimize food wastage.

3. Stock & Inventory Support

📦 Monitor ingredient levels and inform supervisors for restocking.
📦 Assist in receiving and storing supplies properly.

4. Customer Service & Teamwork

👨‍🍳 Work as part of a team to provide excellent service.
👨‍🍳 Occasionally assist with barista duties if required.

Work Location

✅ Pasir Ris / Elias (Kitchen 1 – No pork/lard, mostly Halal ingredients)

Job Requirements

✔️ At least 1 year of experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, catering, or cold kitchen environment.
✔️ Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and cold kitchen preparation.
✔️ Passion for fresh, quality ingredients and creative food presentation.
✔️ Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
✔️ Basic IT skills (email, scanning, Excel) are a plus.
✔️ Must hold a Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to obtain one before starting.

Salary & Employment Details

💰 Salary Range: $1,600 – $2,200/month (Based on experience).
