Job Summary:
The Server will be responsible to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our guests and customers. The ideal candidate will have patience, personality and perseverance to thrive to uplift the dining experience of our guest.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and escort guests to their tables;
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies);
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses;
Inform guests about the day’s specials;
Have knowledge in every dishes served and offer menu recommendations upon request;
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software;
Check guests’ ID to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages;
Communicate order details to the kitchen team;
Serve food and drinks orders;
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems;
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene are kept up to standards.
Deliver checks and collect bill payments;
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning;
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, change on the menu and services applications for reservations (e.g. parties);
Follow all health relevant health department regulations;
Provide excellent customer services to guests; and
Any other requirement by the Company or management.
Requirements:
• High school diploma
1-2 years work experience as server.
Hands on experience with cash register and ordering information system (Lunchbox is a plus).
Basic maths skills.
Attentive and patient to guests
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Active listening and effective communication skills.
Team spirit.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Possess a well groomed and professional appearance
