Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and proactive Process Technicians to support plant operations on Jurong Island . You will play a critical role in the start-up and daily operation of a greenfield petrochemical facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. This position requires you to perform 12-hour rotating shift work and offers hands-on involvement in all aspects of plant processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Shift Leader in pre-commissioning, commissioning , and start-up activities .
• Conduct equipment inspection , punch listing , and site walkdowns .
• Manage daily operations including start-up, shutdown, and turnaround tasks.
• Carry out routine tasks: sample collection, in-process testing, patrols, data logging, and chemical handling .
• Monitor process equipment and take corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
• Support troubleshooting activities and collaborate with technical/maintenance teams.
• Prepare equipment for safe maintenance handover.
• Interpret production schedules, lab results, and process data to adjust equipment controls.
• Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in preparing maintenance documents.
• Perform Permit to Work (PTW) job site assessments and issue permits.
• Participate in emergency response activities including firefighting and rescue .
• Ensure proper housekeeping in assigned process areas.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote best practices in operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, reliability , and plant performance .

Requirements

• NITEC / Higher NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Technology , or Diploma in Chemical Engineering .
• 3-5 years of experience in the petrochemical or chemical processing industry preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are welcome to apply.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiar with HSE practices and process safety in petrochemical environments.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Physically fit and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts .
• Must be comfortable working on Jurong Island .
