Project Manager, IT Applications

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to lead the planning, development, and implementation of IT solutions within the University. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders which include business users from the schools/admin departments; manage vendors, and ensure that IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the University objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with stakeholders to establish consensus on project objectives, understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Plan and monitor project schedule, budget and activities to ensure project is delivered in accordance with objectives, within timeline and budget.
  • Track and report project progress, issues and risks to ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Manage third-party vendors for project implementation and support, oversee change requests, and ensure service quality and contract compliance.
  • Ensure project documentation, including user workflows, system processes and integrations are maintained.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of IT experience, including:
    • 5 years in project support/management
    • 5 years as a Business Analyst, leading at least two end-to-end full SDLC project deliveries
  • Strong IT foundation, encompassing project management methodologies, system design, web application development, and IT security/audit controls.
  • Skilled in managing business process workflows, with the ability to align IT systems with business objectives.
  • Proficient in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, RESTful services, middleware, API integrations, and low-code development platforms.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues and translate technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Proven ability to multitasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.
  • Customer service orientation and a commitment to quality.
