Chemistry and Physics Tutor (Part Time)

CHEMISTRY & PHYSICS TUTOR – PART TIME

Location: Paya Lebar

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Ignite Interest in Science
Inspire students to appreciate the logic and beauty behind Chemistry and Physics through passionate, clear, and confident teaching.

✅ Assist the students with their enquiries

Be able to answer the questions that the student might have with the worksheets that they are doing

✅ Develop and Refine Curriculum
Work with the academic team to design and enhance lesson materials, worksheets, and assessments to strengthen students’ foundational understanding.

✅ Make Learning Relevant
Use real-life examples, demonstrations, and analogies to bring abstract scientific theories to life and boost student retention.

✅ Track Student Progress
Monitor students’ learning through regular class activities and internal assessments. Provide feedback and targeted support when necessary.

✅ Communicate Clearly
Maintain professional and prompt communication with students and internal teams. Provide occasional feedback to parents when required.

✅ Be Reliable and Responsible
Commit to fixed class timings, come well-prepared, and contribute positively to the learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience teaching Secondary Chemistry and/or Physics (O/N-Level or IP) is required.
• Ability to teach both subjects across upper secondary levels is preferred.
• Familiarity with the latest MOE syllabus.
• Strong classroom delivery, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create or adapt learning materials.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching/tutoring experience will be preferred
• A Level Graduates / Undergraduates are welcome to apply

We Offer:

💰 Part-time Hourly Rate: $20–$25/hour (depending on experience and subject mastery)
📚 All teaching materials provided
📅 Fixed class timings – No irregular scheduling

Current classes available are:

Wednesday 6pm - 8pm

Thursday 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
