The role:
You will seek to create Sustainable impact by leading initiatives in:
- Regenerative technology and spaces
- Restorative supply chains and operations, and
- Empowerment of employees, partners, and customers with highest purpose and integrity
In this role you will champion our efforts in building a restorative supply chain and be accountable for delivering the following targets:
- No significant or major incidents of supplier non-compliance.
- Influence business to direct 1% of their spend towards restorative products/services.
- Reduce supply chain carbon emissions by 1% compared to the 2023 baseline.
Job Responsibilities:
- Propose, develop, and manage sustainable supply chain initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide governance for sustainable procurement and support sustainability reporting efforts
- Co-create, lead, and deliver projects in collaboration with business and support units, providing advisory to enable stakeholders to make better operational decisions aligned to the Bank’s sustainability agenda.
- Engage with senior management on key strategic sustainability initiatives and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, industry groups, and the sustainability ecosystem.
- Represent the Bank externally in regional working groups and committees, fostering strategic partnerships with suppliers to drive sustainability improvements, developing precise sustainability specifications and business requirements for vendor products and services integral to the Bank's operations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant sustainability regulations and standards.
- Identify sustainability initiatives and improvement opportunities, recommending prioritization and developing comprehensive Bank-wide implementation plans, including educating and training procurement partners to empower the department to achieve restorative procurement goals.
- Support the preparation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for sustainability reporting and undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by senior management and the Procurement Sustainability Team Lead, provided they fall within the scope of sustainable procurement and are aligned with the Bank's sustainability agenda.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or public policy preferred.
- Minimum of 10years of sustainable supply chains or related fields with a strong track record in delivering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal, stakeholder management skills
- Experience in program management, risk management and agile methodology is preferred.
