ICT INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced ICT Infrastructure Engineer to lead and manage Zabbix-based monitoring infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Zabbix 7.0 monitoring systems across diverse environments. You will oversee the monitoring of Windows, Unix/Linux systems, databases, and middleware platforms while developing custom solutions and integrations to enhance our monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in systems monitoring with excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure through effective monitoring and preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Zabbix 7.0 monitoring infrastructure

• Configure and optimise monitoring for diverse environments including Windows, Unix/Linux systems, databases, and middleware

• Develop and maintain monitoring templates, triggers, and alerts

• Create custom scripts and integrations for enhanced monitoring capabilities

• Manage monitoring dashboards and reporting systems

• Troubleshoot monitoring issues and implement preventive measures

• Provide technical guidance on monitoring best practices

• Maintain monitoring documentation and standard operating procedures

What we are looking for

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with Zabbix 6.0 and above, including installation, configuration, and maintenance

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems

• Proficiency in monitoring databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

• Experience with middleware monitoring (e.g., Apache, Nginx, WebLogic)

• Scripting skills in multiple languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)

• Understanding of network protocols and services

• Experience with API integration and custom monitoring solutions

Additional Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning

• Knowledge of IT service management principles

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

• 5 years of experience in IT systems administration

• 3 years of experience with Zabbix

• Relevant technical certifications

• Experience with containerisation and cloud monitoring
