Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW Grade 7/8)

Job Description:

• Oversee and ensure electrical installations, maintenance, and testing comply with EMA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Certify electrical work and issue necessary testing and commissioning reports.
• Handle authority applications and submissions, including licensing, permits, and regulatory approvals.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and rectifications of electrical systems.
• Approve and sign off on electrical drawings, load calculations, and wiring plans.
• Supervise and guide electricians and site teams to ensure proper execution of electrical works.
• Perform risk assessments and implement safety measures for electrical installations.
• Liaise with EMA, BCA, SPPG, and other relevant authorities on regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, test results, and compliance documents to authorities.
• Provide technical advice and solutions for electrical faults or system enhancements.

Job Requirements:

• Valid EMA Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification (Grade 7/8).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and authority submissions.
• Proven experience in handling EMA, BCA, and SPPG applications and submissions.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, regulations, and compliance procedures.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and conduct site assessments.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and leadership skills for liaising with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
