Job Posting for Credit Analyst at SUMMIT TALENT PTE. LIMITED
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Credit Analyst to join our team in Singapore. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing the creditworthiness of potential and existing corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be able to provide actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making related to credit risk management and lending approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct in-depth financial analysis of corporate clients, including reviewing financial statements, balance sheets, income statements and cash flow projections to determine credit risk.
Assess the creditworthiness of businesses and identify potential risks to minimize bad debt and defaults.
Credit Evaluation & Reporting: Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to senior management and the credit committee for decision-making.
Monitor the credit portfolio and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Loan Application Process: Support the lending team by analyzing loan applications and making recommendations on credit limits and terms.
Assist in the preparation of credit proposals, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with internal guidelines.
Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, industry conditions, and macroeconomic factors that may impact credit risk.
Analyze competitor activities and evaluate market conditions to provide context for credit assessments.
Relationship Management: Work closely with relationship managers, clients, and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for credit evaluations.
Collaborate with internal departments such as risk management, legal, and compliance to ensure proper execution of credit policies.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all credit assessments and recommendations comply with local regulations and internal policies, including compliance with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) guidelines.
Identify potential issues with credit applications and work with relevant departments to address any compliance gaps.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in credit analysis, corporate banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis and risk management techniques.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment tools.
Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and ability to process complex data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate credit findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, etc.) and experience with financial analysis software.
Knowledge of credit rating systems and relevant financial regulations is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in corporate credit analysis, ideally within a banking or financial institution.
Familiarity with Singapore’s regulatory environment (e.g., MAS, AML guidelines).
Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) would be an advantage.
