Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced GST professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to client service, to play a key role in the expansion of our Tax practice. As a vital part of the management team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the client experience, supporting team success, and managing a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert GST advisory and compliance services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide GST advisory services, offering insights on the GST implications of business operations and transactions across various industries, including financial services.
Assist clients with GST-related processes such as registration, exemptions, and participation in various GST schemes.
Review and electronically file clients' GST returns in a timely manner.
Conduct GST health checks, due diligence reviews, Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) reviews, and Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews.
Support clients in managing GST audits and investigations conducted by IRAS.
Assist clients in obtaining GST rulings from IRAS.
Collaborate with partners to develop and grow the GST practice and contribute to other ad hoc projects as required by the Partners.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a relevant field, with a professional qualification recognized by the SCTP.
At least 6 years of Singapore GST experience, ideally from a professional services or accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of Singapore tax laws and guidelines.
Proven track record of timely project execution and delivery.
Strong leadership, client management, project management, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Proficiency in both English and another language is advantageous.
A collaborative team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
Self-motivated and committed to career growth and development.
Accreditation by SCTP, such as Accredited Tax Practitioner (GST) or Accredited Tax Advisor (GST), would be a strong advantage.
