Product Development Senior Executive

We are looking for an individual that will support the development of new initiatives and concepts and execute new technical solutions designed to create a robust pipeline of innovation in Ready To Eat food, to meet future food convenience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of 2 to 3 years in a similar role, and be curious and eager to be part of this start-up company.

Objectives of this role

• Conduct product research and competitor analysis to understand consumer preferences and market dynamics in Singapore and new markets.
• Define product specifications and performance requirements based on market demands.
• Generate creative and innovative ideas and concepts for new products or product enhancements.
• Create prototypes and conducting testing to validate product designs and functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, food safety and manufacturing, to ensure successful product development and timely launch.
• Monitor product development timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the viability and profitability of new products.
• Manage product documentation, including technical specifications, food safety risk assessment, user manuals and other marketing collaterals.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in product design, engineering, industrial design or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in product development or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialisation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and cost optimisation techniques.
• Familiarity with market research techniques and consumer behaviour in the Indian market.
• Strong business acumen and market awareness, with the ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.
• Proficiency in product design software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality products.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, product testing and product optimisation.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
