About the Role
Reporting to the Natural Resources Director, the position manages programs and projects to assure the protection
and sustainability of land and natural resources for Vuntut Gwitchin (VG) settlement lands and traditional
territory. It collaborates to develop land related legislation, gather information, monitor land use activities, and
conduct meaningful outreach to citizens and the public. Its activities have a long-lasting impact on the stewardship
of VG resources.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in natural or renewable resource management, land management, environmental studies,

• Considerable experience managing conservation or natural resource programs, including strategic planning

• Experience leading and managing teams.

• Experience building partnerships with stakeholders and external contacts to promote and protect resources.

• Financial management experience, including budgeting, and administering federal/territorial funding

• Knowledge of resource management, and ecological sustainability principles and practices to lead inspections,

• Applies knowledge of legislation, trends, practices and research to land use planning, environmental
