About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance and Planning Coordinator, the position performs preventative and on-
demand maintenance, minor repairs, and upgrades on existing Vuntut Gwitchin Government (VGG)
building structures and components, as well as on systems and equipment. You will bring efficiencies
and contribute to the responsive abilities of our team and will provide on-the-job mentorship and
direction to develop the maintenance skills of Maintainer Helpers.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications

• Housing Maintainer or other trades certification is an asset.

• Experience in construction and/or infrastructure maintenance and repair.

• Experience in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical and/or mechanical systems.

• Experience using hand and power tools.

• Experience working with national or territorial building codes and regulations.

• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
