We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk with strong communication skills, an ability to learn quickly, and a friendly personality.
Job Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, paying vendors, and supporting the Abel team as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices
- Route invoices to the correct managers for approval
- Monitor invoices for discount opportunities
- Schedule and prepare checks
- Assist with payment discrepancies and lost checks
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
- Enter non-job related purchase orders
- Enter billings into Sage for several accounts
- Order office and cleaning supplies
- Assist the Accounting Department as needed
Key Skill Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Construction accounting experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail
- Professional phone presence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Skill in operating copier and calculator
